A PhD requires the completion of a piece of research that demonstrates a significant and original contribution to the field of study. Students complete their research training under the guidance of an academic supervisor within the School and present a thesis at the end of their degree. Reseach projects are available in all areas of the School.

Entry to this degree requires a four year Bachelor degree with first or upper second class honours (or equivalent). Students should discuss projects with a potential supervisor before applying for this degree.

Further information is available from the Postgraduate Director and the Graduate Research School.
