Welcome to the School of Physics

The School of Physics at UNSW is one of the largest physics schools in Australia. We conduct world-class research in Astrophysics, Biophysics; Acoustics; Condensed Matter Physics; Theoretical Physics; and Physics Education. We also host Centres of Excellence, this includes CQC2T, FLEET and ACEx.

 
Study a Major in Physics
 
The Physics major concentrates on the fundamental areas of physics and mathematics in the first years of your degree, to provide a strong foundation, whatever your interests. You have the opportunity to specialise through electives in the upper years.
