The 2017 Gordon Godfrey Workshop
22 November 2017
The 2017 Gordon Godfrey Workshop on Spins and Strong Electron Correlations was held at UNSW from the 30th of October to the 3rd of November; the event was opened by the Dean of Science, Emma Johnston. Over 80 people attended, with 16 leading international speakers coming from Italy, Japan, China, Denmark, Russia, France, Germany, the USA and Israel. The poster session for students and early career researchers was a big hit, as was the evening get together at the Opera Bar by Sydney Opera House, where attendees were fortuitously able to enjoy a fireworks show. The workshop was supported by the Gordon Godfrey Bequest, UNSW School of Physics, and the ARC Centre of Excellence FLEET, allowing free registration to all workshop participants.
