Research Interests: 

I am interested in understanding the origin and evolution of galaxies like our own Milky Way. My primary research focus is in figuring out how galaxies build different elements. I use optical and near-infrared spectroscopic observations of galaxies, to understand the evolution of kinematic, chemical and other inter-stellar medium properties of galaxies over the past 12 billion years. In my work, I try to establishes a direct connection between observations and, the state-of-the-art hydrodynamical simulations and theoretical models, which is essential to fully understand the physics of galaxy formation and evolution.
